Bundesliga Betting Preview – 26/11/16
In our Bundesliga betting preview we look at the best possible betting tips for the selected fixtures.
Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund
On Saturday afternoon this weekend in the Bundesliga we see Thomas Tuchel take his Borussia Dortmund side on the trip to Commerzbank-Arena to face Niko Kovač Eintracht Frankfurt.
The home side Eintracht Frankfurt head into the visit of Borussia Dortmund hoping that they can continue with their solid form in the league and come away with some sort of result here on Saturday. They know it will be a difficult task against a good side but in front of their home supporters they will want to put on a good display. After avoiding relegation last season in the relegation play-offs when they beat FC Nurnberg, they look like a much more organised outfit this time round. They currently find themselves sat in a respectable 7th place in the table, level on points with the four teams above them in them in the table (including their opponents). They are now unbeaten in their last five Bundesliga fixtures and have only conceded one goal in their last four.
Their most recent game last Sunday saw them make the journey to Weserstadion to face Alexander Nouri’s Werder Bremen who have had a terrible start to their season. However it was the hosts who took the lead not long before half time thanks to Florian Grillitsch. It only took 7 second half minutes for the visitors to pull themselves level thanks to Alexander Meier and thats how it looked like it was going to stay. Until the 90th minute when Aymen Barkok snatched all three points for the visitors.
The away side Borussia Dortmund go into the trip to Eintracht Frankfurt hoping that they can also continue with their good run of form and close the gap down between the two teams above them in the table. After finishing second again to Bayern last season, they will want this to be the year they finally pip them to the title. However there is a new challenger in town, Red Bull Leipzig who were promoted last year are leading the way at the minute and are six points clear of Dortmund already. BVB currently find themselves sat in third place in the table and will be overtaken by their opponents if they lose here. They broke a Champions League record in the week when they were involved in a 14 goals fixture at home to Legia Warsaw which was split 8-4 to the hosts. They’re now unbeaten in their last nine and will not want to end that run here.
Their most recent Bundesliga match was last Saturday when it was the big one, the Der Klassiker when they welcomed Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich to Signal-Iduna-Park. It was an entertaining encounter with both sides having their fair share of chances, however the only goal of the game came after 11 minutes when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won it for BVB. After Bayern failed to clear their lines, the ball was played across to Aubameyang who was unmarked six yards out and slid the ball home past Manuel Neuer.

Bayern Munich v Bayer Leverkusen
On Saturday evening this weekend in the Bundesliga we see Roger Schmidt take his Bayer Leverkusen side on the trip to the Allianz Arena to face Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich.
The home side Bayern Munich head into the visit of Bayer Leverkusen hoping to bounce back after their derby defeat last weekend. They know that they cannot afford to drop any more points due to Red Bull Leipzig already being three points clear of them in the table. It’s a strange feeling for them being the ones who are chasing the top team, and especially when it isn’t even Borussia Dortmund. Leipzig have come from nowhere and have shocked everyone with their performances this year. Bayern are without a win in their last three matches in all competitions which is unheard of for them. In midweek they travelled to Russia to face FC Rostov who stunned everyone when they came away with a 3-2 win over the Germans. They are currently sat in 2nd place in the table and if they lose here and Leipzig and Dortmund win, then they will be six points behind the leaders and level on points with Dortmund.
Their most recent Bundesliga game was the big one last Saturday, Der Klassiker, when they travelled to Signal-Iduna-Park to face Thomas Tuchel’s Borussia Dortmund. It was an entertaining tie with both teams had enough chances, however the only goal of the game came after 11 minutes when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won it for Dortmund. After Bayern failed to clear their lines, the ball was played across to Aubameyang who was unmarked six yards out and slid the ball home past Manuel Neuer.
The away side Bayer Leverkusen go into the trip to Bayern Munich knowing that they face a difficult but not impossible task if they want to come away with something from this one. With three defeats and two wins from their last five matches in the league, they’d probably be more than happy to come away with a point on Saturday. After finishing in a fantastic third place last year, they’ve not had as good of a start than they would’ve liked as they currently find themselves sat in 9th place which they won’t be happy about. They featured in the week in the Champions League when they travelled to Russia to face CSKA Moscow. They threw away a one goal lead and had to settle for a draw.
Their most recent Bundesliga match was on Friday evening when they welcomed the surprise package Red Bull Leipzig to the BayArena. The hosts took the lead in the first minute when Kevin Kampl found the net, but they it was 1-1 just 3 minutes later through an own goal. Bayer again took the lead when Julian Brandt scored on the stroke of half time but it was all square on 67 minutes curtesy of a Emil Forsberg goal. Then with just 9 minutes to play Leipzig snatched all three points when Willi Orban scored the all important winner.
