The festive fixture list of football is always one of the most exciting times in the football calendar and Boxing Day in particular is a fans favourite. It always seems to be a day in which there is plenty of excitement and goals are usually flying in all around the country. Boxing Day in 1963 saw an astonishing 66 goals being scored in the 10 fixtures, we all hope to see another day like that this season. It is a key period for clubs at both ends of the Premier League, with fixtures coming thick and fast it presents an opportunity to accumulate some points fairly quickly.

With Boxing Day just around the corner, we thought that we would test your knowledge on the 2015/16 campaigns fixtures on December 26th. We want to know how many of the Boxing Day goal scorers you can remember from last season. There are 23 to get in total, with a couple of players bagging braces, so make sure you think carefully! Can you get 100%? Good Luck and tweet in your scores into us @footyaccums!

This year sees Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all feature in home fixtures, with Manchester City on the road at Hull City. The Gunners will be hoping to bounce back after successive defeats to Everton and Manchester City left them nine behind top spot. Chelsea are in red hot form and will hope to extend their Premier League winning streak to 12 matches, but they will have to do so without the suspended Diego Costa.

The two Manchester clubs both come into Boxing Day on the back of important victories. United beat an in-form West Bromwich Albion side whilst City beat Arsenal and both will hope to back those up as they take on two sides in the relegation zone in Sunderland and Hull City respectively.
