Alan Shearer’s had our pants down…

On a cold Friday afternoon, our lives changed forever…Alan Shearer roasted us after we caught a big North East Bite. An off-the-cuff comment about Alan’s achievements after he joined Newcastle United seemed to aggravate the Premier League all-time top scorer. We found a picture of Alan Shearer, Gary Neville and David Beckham, and asked our followers to caption the image.

One of our followers captioned it saying “I turned ur lot down twice” which we replied, “to become Newcastle’s leading scorer and not win anything.” No malice intended and just a comment about Alan not winning anything at Newcastle – his boyhood club that he had always longed to play for.

This is where it starts to get a bit gory as Mr Shearer quote tweeted our tweet with the following: “Meanwhile your career as a tweet writer has really taken off….” Wow, annihilated! We were officially mugged off by the one time Premier League winner. We hope he peeled off using his trademark celebration as he sent the tweet. Twitter is never serious and we never meant any harm or personal vendetta against Newcastle’s greatest ever striker. We saw it as a tiny bit of banter that might have been taken the wrong way…

Us right now…

Looking at our head to head…

We want to apologise for any offence occurred and hope we can move past this. Any time that you want to retweet any of our tweets would be greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing you on Match On The Day in one of those fetching cardigans. We’re big fans Alan!
