Bournemouth v Tottenham Betting Tips & Odds

In our Bournemouth v Tottenham betting preview we look at the best possible bets between the two sides.

In Sunday’s late kick off, Bournemouth welcome Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham to Dean Court for a Premier League clash. Both teams come into the games boasting good records in 2018. Tottenham are yet to lose in the League since the turn of the year, this fine form has seen them go five points clear of Chelsea in fifth. Another win here, away to Bournemouth will be important for the North London side as they look to secure a top four finish come the end of the season. Bournemouth also come into the game with fine form in 2018. Eddie Howe’s side have only lost once this year as they look to further themselves from the relegation zone.

Tottenham will be looking to bounce back from mid-week disappointment

Tottenham are now established as one of England’s top teams, consistently finishing in the top four and look set to do so again this season. Mauricio Pochettino has built a very strong young side full of English talent. Tottenham have gained the reputation of not performing under pressure, failing to win the League title in the last few season and now losing to Juventus in their Champions League mid-week fixture, despite going 1-0 up, has only added to this reputation. With the League all but won by Manchester City, Tottenham will be focusing on finishing inside the top four to have another go at the Champions League next season. Missing out on the Champions League could be detrimental to their squad, with a number of clubs already being linked with their players. Pochettino will be looking for a win from his side, in what is an easy game for them on paper.

Tottenham will be looking to bounce back after being knockout of the Champions League in mid-week. Tottenham do have a FA Cup game against Swansea on Wednesday to worry about, which may tempt Pochettino into resting players against Bournemouth. The Spurs squad will be desperate to win a trophy and the FA Cup will be their main focus now. Main man Harry Kane, has been ever present in the Tottenham starting elven, scoring twenty-four goals so far this season but it is Son Heung-Min who will pose Bournemouth the most trouble. Son goes into the game in fine form scoring five goals in his last three games, if he gets another start against Bournemouth he’ll be looking to add to his tally.

Bournemouth have never beaten Tottenham

Eddie Howe is now in his sixth year in-charge at Dean Court. Howe got Bournemouth promoted in 2015 and after a ninth place finish last season it looks like another mid-table finish for them this season. They got off to a poor start this term and were second bottom after the opening ten games. Since the turn of the year Bournemouth have been on fine form, losing only once in 2018. Bournemouth have risen to twelve in the League, six points above the relegation zone. With a relatively easy run in where they play five teams below them they look set for another year of Premier League survival. Coming up against a Tottenham team they have never beaten in the Premier League era, they will have to be at their best to get a result this Sunday.

One of the big positives from a Bournemouth point of view is the return of Callum Wilson this season. After missing the start of 17/18 due to another injury he has had a run of games and is Bournemouth’s top goal scorer, scoring ten goals to date. Eddie Howe will hope his side can catch Tottenham out on the counter attack with the pace of Wilson and others to try and snatch a result from a superior Tottenham side.
