Bundesliga Betting Preview – 05/11/16

In our Bundesliga betting preview we look at the best possible betting tips for the selected fixtures.

Hamburger SV v Borussia Dortmund

On Saturday afternoon this weekend in the Bundesliga we see Thomas Tuchel take is Borussia Dortmund side on the trip to¬†Volksparkstadion to face Markus Gisdol’s Hamburger SV. This one should be a pretty comfortable away victory.

The home side Hamburger head into the visit of Borussia Dortmund hoping that they can turn their torrid Bundesliga from around with a much needed win. They are without a league win all season which has seen them play 9 times, losing 7 and drawing just 2. They currently find themselves sat bottom of the table as expected, level on points with Ingolstadt who have a slightly better goal difference. They will be hoping to use the fact that their opponents have played midweek to their advantage as they should have fresher legs. It’s quite clear to see why they are struggling as bad as they are. It’s because they’ve only managed to score two goals in their 9 fixtures which is frankly unacceptable.

Their most recent match was on Sunday when they travelled to¬†RheinEnergieStadion to face¬†Peter St√∂ger’s FC Koln. It was a game of two halves which actually saw the sides go into the break with the scorers goalless. Koln took the lead after an hour thanks to Modeste who got a little touch on a cross that went into the far corner. He got his and Koln’s second in the 82nd minute with a great header at the near post and then he got his hat-trick 4 minutes later when he slotted the ball through the onrushing keepers legs.

The away side Borussia Dortmund go into the trip to Hamburger on the back of a busy week which sees them play their third game in the space of the last seven days. They’ve had a bit of an iffy start to the season which has seen them draw or lose a few matches that they really should have been winning. This means that they find themselves sat in 6th place in the Bundesliga having collected 15 points from 9 fixtures. Their last League match saw them play their bitter rivals Schalke 04 in the¬†Revierderby derby. It was a pretty disappointing fixture which ended up goalless with Schalke the happier side about the result.

Their most recent game was on Wednesday evening when they welcomed¬†Jorge Jesus’s Sporting Lisbon side to¬†Signal Iduna Park in the Champions League group stage. The only goal of the game came in the 12th minute when a great ball in from the right by Ginter was met by Adrian Ramos who’s header looped into the right corner to secure the three points for BVB. This means that they now sit top of their group on 10 points, 2 ahead of Real Madrid in 2nd place.

Bayern Munich v Hoffenheim

On Saturday afternoon this weekend in the Bundesliga we see¬†Julian Nagelsmann take his Hoffenheim side on the trip to the Allianz Arena to face Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich. This one should be a good game but we still fancy a home win.

The home side Bayern Munich head into the visit of Hoffenheim on the back of a busy week which sees them play their third game in the space of the last seven day. They will be hoping that they can continue with their solid form with another win here. After they went through a bad fortnight where they went three games without a win which is unheard of for them, they seem to have got straight back into the form that we are so used to seeing them in. They’ve won their last 5 on the bounce in all competitions and sit in top spot of the Bundesliga on 23 points, 2 clear of Red Bull Leipzig in 2nd. Their last league match saw them travel to Augsburg where they won 3-1 thanks to a brace from Robert Lewandowski and one from Arjen Robben.

Their most recent game was on Tuesday evening when they travelled to¬†Philips Stadion to face Phillip Cocu’s PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League group stages. It was actually the hosts who took the lead in the 14th minute when Arias finished off a great counter attacking move by nodding in from close range after Neuer could only parry away. Bayern got themselves level on 34 minutes through a Lewandowski penalty and then the Polish striker won it for them in the 73rd minute when David Alaba hit a low cross to him and he tapped in from close range.

The away side Hoffenheim go into the trip to Bayern Munich hoping that they can continue their fantastic form in the Bundesliga by getting at least a point here. ¬†After finishing dangerously close to relegation when they came 15th place last season, nobody expected them to have as good of a start as they have done. They haven’t lost a single match yet and have won their last 5 on the bounce running up to Saturday. They drew their opening 4 games but have followed them up with an impressive run. They currently find themselves sat in 3rd place in the table on 19 points, 2 behind Red Bull Leipzig in 2nd place.

Their most recent match was on Sunday when they welcomed Pal Dardai’s Hertha Berlin to¬†WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena. The only goal of the game came after half an hour and fortunately for Julian Nagelsmann and Hoffenheim it was in their favour. Hertha’s goalkeeper came to collect a cross but spilled it and there was Niklas Sule to tap into an empty net at the back post to earn all three points for the hosts and make it 5 league wins out of 5.
