Can you name every Premier League teams highest earner?

Money in football continues to hit new heights each and every season, and with many Premier League players now earning in excess of £150,000 a week, it’s clear to see why most footballers are now out of touch with the real world. With the likes of superstars Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Sergio Aguero just three of eight players currently earning more than £200,000 a week in the Premier League, it begs the question; where will it end?

Just this week speculation surrounding the future of Arsenal want-a-way Alexis Sanchez has taken up the majority of back pages across the country, with rumours now circulating that the twenty-nine year old Chilean’s proposed move to Manchester City could be hijacked by rivals Manchester United following a disagreement regarding his wages. Sanchez is apparently demanding a whopping £400,000 a week from City, making him the all time highest earner in the history of the Premier League. Should this contract be agreed by either Manchester side, it will open the floodgates for players to start demanding even more obscene amounts of money when negotiating contracts with their respective clubs.

Sterling Man City

Raheem Sterling is set to be offered a new contract of £250,000 a week at Manchester City.

Manchester City and England winger Raheem Sterling is also currently rumoured to be rewarded with a new contract following a fantastic opening half to his season. The twenty-three year old is currently the third top scorer in the Premier League, he’s bagged fourteen goals so far this term and now looks like a completely new player under the guidance of Pep Guardiola. Sterling’s current contract see’s him earn £135,000 per week, but it’s rumoured that City are set to offer him an increase of £115,000, which would see the former Liverpool wide man earn an astonishing £250,000 every single week (£12 million per year).
