Lawrence Shankland @ 9/2 via Sky Bet

Although Hearts finished third in the Scottish Premiership, Lawrence Shankland was amongst some of the top scorers in the league.

In 37 games in the Scottish Premiership, Shankland picked up 24 goals and four assists, six more than second top scorer Celtic’s Matt O’Riley. This gave him a goal every 136 minutes and a goal conversion rate of 24%.

In other competitions, Shankland also picked up another five goals and another two assists. In fact, Shankland was so vital to Hearts that he scored 23 more goals than second top scorer for Hearts Kenneth Vargas.

Shankland has already found the back of the net for Scotland before in his career. His debut for Scotland came back in 2019 but since then Shankland has made just ten appearances but has scored twice.

This will be his first appearance at the European Championships but he did get a goal in the qualification process, that goal coming against Georgia.

Che Adams @ 5/1 via Sky Bet

Che Adams has also had an impressive season with Southampton in the Championship as they won promotion back to the Premier League.

In 41 games in the Championships, Adams picked up 16 goals and four assists, level with the likes of Haji Wright for Coventry and Josh Sargent for Norwich.

Adams averaged a goal every 145 minutes and registered a goal conversion rate of 27%. In other competitions for Southampton, Adams picked up a further two goals and two assists making him the second top scorer for The Saints.

Adams made his debut for Scotland back in 2021 and has made 30 appearances, scoring six goals. This meant that Adams was called up to the Scotland team for the Euros in 2021, playing in all three Group stage games - starting twice.

Though Adams didn’t find the back of the net during the qualifiers for the Euros, he did bag a goal against Gibraltar in a friendly in June.

John McGinn @ 5/1 via Sky Bet

John McGinn continued his usual service of supplying Aston Villa with goals from midfield this season.

In the Premier League this season, McGinn picked up six goals and four assists in 35 games. McGinn also found the back of the net in Aston Villa’s long run into the Conference League where they made it all the way to the Semi Finals. In 12 games in the competition, McGinn picked up three goals and three assists.

This gave McGinn an overall rate of a goal every 479 minutes and a goal conversion rate of 21%.

McGinn has been a fixture in the Scotland team since his debut back in 2016. Since his debut, McGinn has made 65 appearances and has scored 18 goals.

The midfielder hasn’t scored at the Euros before but he did bag three goals in the qualification of this summer’s tournament. This includes two goals against Cyprus and a goal against Norway.

Scott McTominay @ 5/1 via Sky Bet

McTominay made his debut with Scotland in 2018 and has since made 49 appearances. In that time McTominay has scored eight goals with seven of these goals coming in the Euros 2024 qualifiers.

Ryan Christie @ 7/1 via Sky Bet

Ryan Christie didn’t manage to find the back of the net for Bournemouth in the Premier League this season but was one of their biggest creators.

In 37 games in the Premier League, Christie registered five assists for The Cherries, the most of any player for Bournemouth. Christie did grab one goal for Bournemouth the season, that being one goal in the League Cup.

Christie has been in the Scotland team since his debut back in 2017. Since then he has made 48 appearances where he has scored on six occasions. Before his goal in the 2 - 0 win over Gibraltar in the friendlies in June, Christie hadn’t scored for The Tartan Army since 2022.

In 16 games so far this season, Morgan has scored nine goals and has registered four assists.

No Scotland Goalscorer @ 14/1 via Sky Bet

Scotland have an underwhelming record when it comes to scoring at the European Championships. In their three appearances and nine games, Scotland have scored just five goals.

In fact, the all-time top scorers for Scotland at the Euros are Gary McAllister, Brian McClair, Ally McCoist, Paul McStay and Callum McGregor who have all scored just once.

This means that Scotland are somewhat likely to end their Euros journey this summer with no goals to their name.
