Premier League Gameweek2 TOTW

Team Of The Week Two

The second gameweek of the new Premier League season came to an end on Monday night and as always we've broken down every individual performance and managed to pick our Fantasy Hub team of the week.

There were plenty of players who played well this weekend, however they didn't quite pick up enough fantasy points to make the final cut.

Be sure to let us know if you had any of the following players in your teams.

Don't worry if you didn't create your team in time for the first gameweek, there is still plenty of time to get involved and we are giving out weekly AND monthly prizes which you can read about HERE!

Fantasy Hub is FREE to play and available on Android and iPhone here!

Dean Henderson (5.5m) - 9 Points

Taking the first spot in our Premier League gameweek two team of the week is Sheffield United's Dean Henderson.

The Manchester United loanee had an exceptional game between the sticks, pulling off four saves and keeping a clean sheet against a well established Crystal Palace side.

After his impressive performance, Dean Henderson is the first player in our TOTW.

Lucas Digne (6.6m) - 10 Points

The highest scoring defender of the second gameweek was Everton fullback, Lucas Digne.

The French international was impressing at both ends of the pitch by teeing up Bernard's match winning goal in the 10th minute whilst also digging deep to help The Toffees secure a clean sheet.

Chris Basham (5.5m) - 7 Points

There were plenty of defenders all tied on 7 points for this gameweek however out of those teams to win to nil, we were most impressed with Sheffield United.

Chris Basham was solid as a rock at the back for The Blades, making 3 successful tackles and winning 75% of his aerial duels.

Jack O'Connell (5.6m) - 7 Points

The third Sheffield United player to make it into our gameweek two team of the week is Jack O'Connell.

Similar to the our Chris Basham reasons, we were impressed with United's defensive work against Palace on Sunday.

Jack O'Connell was reliable at the back and a towering presence winning 6 aerial battles against the opposition.

Two Sheffield United defenders make it into our TOTW.

Erik Lamela (6.7m) - 11 Points

Erik Lamela had a stand out individual performance this weekend, despite Tottenham being outplayed for the majority of their game against Manchester City.

The Argentinian scored the first equaliser for Spurs in the 23rd minute before turning provider for Lucas Moura who tied the game up as it finished 2-2.

Sadio Mane (8.1m) - 11 Points

Sadio Mane was one of the most impressive players on the pitch this weekend.

Mane opened his 19/20 Premier League goal account with his first half strike against Southampton on Saturday, things got even better for the Liverpool winger who then went on to assist Firmino's 71st minute goal.

Todd Cantwell (5.4m) - 8 Points

Not many people will have heard about Todd Cantwell before this weekend's game but the 21 year old certainly caught the eye of many with his performance against Newcastle.

The youngster was a pivotal part of The Canaries midfield on Saturday and he certainly showed why Daniel Farke was right to start him, thanks to his two assists.

Bernard (6.1m) - 8 Points

Everton's match winner rightfully takes his place in our second Premier League team of the week.

His goal in the 10th minute at Goodison Park was enough to give The Toffees all three points this weekend and earn himself a place in our TOTW.

Dani Ceballos (6.3m) - 8 Points

Dani Ceballos couldn't have asked for a better debut for Arsenal.

The young Spaniard won plenty of plaudits from fans and pundits this weekend and rightly so.

With two assists against Burnley on Saturday, the Real Madrid loanee showed why Arsenal were so eager to secure his signature.

A brace of assists from Cantwell and Ceballos see them both in our TOTW.

Teemu Pukki (6.5m) - 17 Points

By far the stand out player of the gameweek, Teemu Pukki is already proving his doubters wrong by netting four goals in his opening two games.

The Finland international was outstanding against Newcastle this weekend and showed he has a real eye for goal by bagging himself a hattrick.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (8.2m) - 7 Points

There were many options we could have gone with for our final spot, however we've opted to go with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal's talisman was on fire again this weekend and scored the game winning goal against Burnley as the Gunners secured all three points.

The full Premier League gameweek 2 TOTW returned 103 points.
