Fantasy Football is back for another season, and we're all now putting our squads together, hoping that this will be the year that things start to fall into place. You might be a seasoned pro in the Fantasy world, who, much to the dismay of your mates, somehow manages to win the division each and every season. On the other hand, you might be totally useless at the game regardless of how hard you try and how much effort you put in to it.
Whatever your disposition, there's still nothing quite like excitedly picking your matchday squad on a Friday afternoon when you really should be working, is there? Analysing recent form, future fixtures and player stats to make sure you've given yourself the best possible chance of obtaining maximum points. It may only be a laugh, but you're a liar if you say that Fantasy Football is "just a game" - it is much, much more than that.
Picking your side ahead of the opening fixtures at the start of August is the easy part: nobody's injured, each player is on a level playing field and it's only the first week so if you do completely balls it up then you've got plenty of time to put it right. Picking your team's name is the tough part, the name that will stick with you for the next nine months; it has to be good.
Too many people toss their team's name selection off like it doesn't matter, naming it after themselves followed by a 'XI', snoozing hell. We're not blaming these people, though, maybe they're just not creative or funny enough to come up with a clever play on words, or have enough time on their hands to simply type: "best fantasy football names" into Google. This is where we come in to help.
