Norwich v Cardiff Betting Tips & Odds – 14/04/18

Norwich v Cardiff Betting Tips & Odds

In our Norwich v Cardiff betting preview we look at the best possible bets between the two sides.

Neil Warnock takes his Cardiff side to Carrow Road this Saturday, with their automatic promotion spot in jeopardy, they desperately need a win. They face a tough Norwich outfit, who have lost just once in their last 13 home games against Cardiff. However, The Bluebirds have never completed a league double over the Canaries, but could do so at the 26th attempt, having beat Norwich 3-1 in South Wales earlier this season.

Canaries’ Season Over

With no threat of relegation and no chance of play-offs, Norwich’s season is drifting towards an uninspiring conclusion. The Canaries haven’t won back-to-back home league matches since they beat QPR & Birmingham earlier in September. Their last outing at Carrow Road brought an impressive 3-1 win against promotion chasing Aston Villa, with James Maddison netting for the 14th time this season, and he’s 15/8 to do it again. However, their form in recent weeks has very much evidence of them having nothing to play for. 2 wins in their last 12 shows that the Canaries are already on the beach. Five of the last six meetings between the two sides have had over 2.5 goals, and 23/20 looks a good price for it to happen again. A positive for Norwich fans is that their team haven’t lost any of their last 10 fixtures against Welsh opposition.

Cardiff Falling At The Last Hurdle

Cardiff seemed to have stalled at the worst possible point of the season, having lost to Aston Villa and Wolves in recent weeks. Those results have seen them drop out of the automatic promotion spots, as they now trail second placed Fulham by a point, though they do have a game in hand, and they will be looking to take full advantage of it. Despite sitting towards the top-end of the table for most of the season, Cardiff do not have a single goalscorer in double figures this season, instead relying on their stoic defence to help them win games. Their defence, the best in the Championship, have conceded just 35 times all season. Warnock hasn’t a particularly inspiring record at Carrow Road, having lost 7 of his last 9 trips to Norfolk as a manager. And he will be hoping that his side hasn’t got a case of the April jitters again, as Cardiff haven’t won their last 11 Championship away matches in April.

Striker Kenneth Zohore has only struck 8 times this season
