QUIZ: Stadium Hopping Around The Championship

QUIZ: Stadium Hopping Around The Championship

Can you guess these Championship clubs stadiums?

This weekend see’s domestic football return to our screens after an International break that just seemed to last forever, and there are some fantastic games to feast on. In the Premier League, it’s the battle of the North West as Liverpool host title contenders Manchester United in Saturday’s early kick off. Elsewhere, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City welcome back ex manager Mark Hughes to the Etihad for their clash against Stoke, and rock bottom Crystal Palace have another unbelievably challenging game at home to Chelsea.

It’s not just the top flight that returns this weekend however; there is also a full Championship fixture list for us to get involved in, with games in the second tier kicking off this Friday night in the shape of Bristol City v Burton Albion & Birmingham City v Cardiff City. Both of these fixtures have significant importance to the clubs involved, with Bristol City needing a win to move up to second place (for at least a night) and Cardiff needing victory to extend their gap at the top of the summit. Burton could pull away from the bottom 3 with a win at Ashton Gate, but know it’s going to be an extremely tough ask due to the hosts formidable form at home this season. Newly appointed manager Steve Cotterill will be hoping his Birmingham side can put their recent 6-1 thrashing by Hull behind them when they welcome The Bluebirds, but are going to have to play out of their skin to stand half a chance against Neil Warnock’s early pace setters.

Stadiums are a massive part of a clubs history and identity, they act as a teams base and can become fortresses to sides throughout a competitive season. We all love our beloved clubs home ground, whether it be a state of the art new build or a ramshackled, weathered old stadium full of character and unforgettable memories. Below, we’ve made a list of all of the current Championship teams, what we want you to do is write next to the club what their stadium is called. Give it your best shot and tweet your scores into @footyaccums – we’ll retweet the best onesr, good luck!
