Since it’s conception in 1992, the Premier League has seen players from across the world represent it’s clubs. Down the years more and more nations have been represented from the likes of Germany, Spain and France to smaller islands such as St Kitts & Nevis and Curacao.

There now has been goal scorers from 97 different nations in the Premier League, the latest new country to have a marksman being Armenia following Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s strike for Manchester United against Tottenham Hotspur. We thought there was a quiz in that and we have managed to come up with one. We want to know if you can name all 97 nation’s top Premier League goal scorers. Some countries have a player who has scored over 100 goals in England’s top flight, whilst some of the more obscure nations or islands top scorer may have only ever bagged one or two goals. Most seasons in the Premier League these days see a goal scorer of a different nationality due to the world wide appeal of football and the league itself. In fact, there have only been two seasons (2003/04 and 2007/08) when there hasn’t been a new nationality added to the list. Some of the names are iconic Premier League players, whilst others are less well-known or glamorous.

Each nation that has won a World Cup has had a registered Premier League goal scorer. The first one other than England was Eric Cantona of France. There are one or two nations with huge populations who still have yet to Premier League goal scorer, the most notable being India which has made an effort to improve footballs popularity in recent years.
