 Serie A Betting Preview Р27/11/16

In our Serie A betting preview we look at the best possible betting tips for the selected fixtures.

Genoa v Juventus

On Sunday afternoon this weekend in Serie A we see¬†Massimiliano Allegri take his Juventus side on the trip to¬†Stadio Luigi Ferraris to face¬†Ivan Jurińá’s Genoa.

The home side Genoa head into the visit of Juventus knowing that its going to take them something fairly special if they are going to come away with anything from this fixture. After finishing in a respectable 11th place last season, it’s looking like it’s going to be more of the same this time round. They currently find themselves in 12th place in the table and are going through a dip in form recently. They’ve won just once in their last six Serie A matches, which actually came at home to AC Milan who they beat comfortably 3-0. On the other hand they haven’t lost at home all season, playing seven times at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, winning three of them and drawing the other four which is solid. It proves that they are a difficult side to beat on their own patch in front of their own supporters.

Their most recent match saw them make the difficult trip to¬†Stadio Olimpico in Rome to face¬†Simone Inzaghi’s SS Lazio. The hosts took control of the tie when they broke the deadlock after just 11 minutes thanks to Felipe Anderson. However it was the visitors who scored next when Lucas Ocampos levelled things up in the 52nd minute. That didn’t last long though when they gave a penalty away five minutes later and Lucas Biglia converted from 12 yards. 8 minuted after it was game over when Lazio doubled their advantage thanks to a Wallace goal.

The away side Juventus go into the trip to Genoa hoping for no slip ups and that they can just continue doing exactly what they’ve been doing all season. They’ve lost just once in their thirteen matches in all competitions, winning eleven and drawing the other one and yet again look like they are going to run away with the title. Last season they finished as champions, nine points clear of Napoli in second place and they currently sit in top spot as expected. They’ve already got a gap of six points and there has only been thirteen Serie A matches so far. They featured midweek when they travelled to Spain to face Sevilla in the Champions League. Goals from Claudio Marchisio, Leonardo Bonucci and Mario Mandzukic saw them come from behind to win 3-1. A boost for Juve is that Gonzalo Higuain is in line for a return to the side following a spell out with injury.

Their most recent Serie A game last Saturday saw them welcome Massimo Oddo’s terribly out of form Pescara to the Juventus Stadium. As expected the hosts dominated the contest from start to finish and came away with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Sami Khedira opened the scoring after 36 minutes and Mario Mandzukic doubled their advantage just after the hour mark. The Brazilian Hernanes rounded off the performance 6 minutes after with their third.

Roma v Pescara

On Sunday evening¬†this weekend in Serie A we see¬†Massimo Oddo take his Pescara side on the trip to the Stadio Olimpico to face Luciano Spalletti’s Roma.

The home side Roma head into the visit of Pescara knowing that nothing less that three points is acceptable from this fixture. This one should be a fairly convincing win against a struggling side. After finishing in third place last season, they will have been hoping that this year is the one where they regain the title for the first time since 2000/01. They’ve had a solid start in doing so as they currently find themselves sat in 2nd place in the table, but yet again Juventus look huge favourites. They are already 6 points clear of Roma and don’t exactly look like slipping up anytime soon. They’ve lost once in their last eleven matches in all competitions, which actually came in their last Serie A tie. They featured midweek in the Europa League when they brushed past Viktoria Plzen 4-1 at home.

Their most recent Serie A game ended their undefeated run when they travelled to¬†Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia to face¬†Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta who are on a fantastic run of form. Roma took the lead just before half time when Diego Perotti scored from a Perotti but the hosts drew just after the hour mark through Caldara. That looked as if it was going to be the final goal of the game until the dying moments when Atalanta were awarded a penalty. Franck Kessie made no mistake with spot kick and snatched all three points for the hosts.

The away side Pescara go into the trip to Roma knowing that they are going to have to perform miracles if they are going to come away with anything from this fixture. They are currently on a winless run of a ridiculous eleven matches in Serie A and they have lose their last five on the bounce in the run up to this. After being promoted from Serie B last year via the play offs, it looks as if the step up may just be too much for them right now. They currently find themselves sat in the relegation zone in 18th place having collected just 7 points and look like they may be making a return to Serie B at the first hurdle.

Their most recent Serie A match saw them travel to¬†the Juventus Stadium to face¬†Massimiliano Allegri’s league leaders Juventus.¬†As expected the hosts dominated the contest from start to finish and came away with a comfortable 3-0 victory. Sami Khedira opened the scoring after 36 minutes and Mario Mandzukic doubled their advantage just after the hour mark. The Brazilian Hernanes rounded off the performance 6 minutes after with their third.
