Several top players have been too frightened to make transfers to the hazardous Turkish Super Lig in the last year but there’s been plenty of notable names who’ve not been put off opting for a chance in the growing European division, with with Ricardo Quaresma, Pepe, Alvaro Negredo, Mathieu Valbuena, Jeremain Lens, Mauricio Isla, Fernando and Bafetimbi Gomis working as just a few to make the list.

A butterfly knife works through the blade being expertly hidden in the handle and is not regularly available, mostly even illegal, in today’s market.

Although it’s an undoubtably threatening action which must be completely condemned, the reaction of Ricardo Quaresma, who calmly disables the knife before handing it to a startled referee, is something that can’t help but be laughed at, helped by the fact that nobody was harmed.

It comes as the latest strange circumstance relating to Besiktas since their questionable ‘I am coming to Besiktas’ player announcement videos, which involved the signings of Pepe from Real Madrid and Alvaro Negredo from Valencia.
