Denmark completed their World Cup qualifying campaign with a second placed finish, having beaten Republic of Ireland 5 – 1 on aggregate. Does this put them in a favourable position for the start of the World Cup in Russia this year?
You’d be optimistic in your thinking Denmark are going to reach the finals in Russia this year, as they’ll be pitting their wits against the likes of France, Peru and Australia, who all believe they have a strong say on who finishes behind the French. Denmark are no push overs and will not bow out likely, they’re known for their direct playing style so you can bet on goals with these guys.
There first test, in the World Cup, comes against Peru. A team with a rich history, though they’ve not done much in recent years never has a team, or nation, looked forward to this as much as the Peruvians. Denmark have a big test, their biggest coming against their final qualifying match, which will be against France in Moscow.
