Euro 2024 Group Stage Accumulator

Ahead of Euro 2024, we have drawn up a 16/1 Group Stage Accumulator consisting of selections that we feel will win each group at the competition.

All odds are accurate at time of writing and are subject to change

Germany enter this competition as host nation and are firm favourites to win Group A which consists of the likes of Hungary, Switzerland and Scotland.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side look to have clicked in their most recent international games against the likes of France and Netherlands as they earned impressive 2-0 and 2-1 victories.

Die Mannschaft have a lot of in-form players at the moment at their disposal, such as Antonio Rudiger, Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz and could pose a threat to any side in the competition.

On paper, Group B should be the most hotly contested group, with the likes of Spain, Italy, Croatia and Albania all involved.

We have opted for current European Champions Italy to qualify as group winners. During qualifying, the Azzurri made the switch from Roberto Mancini to Luciano Spalletti and have fared reasonably well, winning fivem, drawing two and losing just one of their first eight games under the former Napoli manager - with their sole defeat coming at the hands of England.

The Italians have a squad that can compete with any side in Europe’s on paper when fully fit and firing, with a strong defensive unit of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Alessandro Bastoni, Giorgio Scalvini and Federico Di Marco, supplemented by a trio of Nicolo Barella, Manuel Locatelli and Sandro Tonali in midfield.

England are the outright favourites to win Euro 2024 as a whole and will be keen to progress from Group C without any fuss when they play the likes of Denmark, Serbia and Slovenia.

Gareth Southgate’s side had a solid qualifying campaign for this competition, as they topped Group C with 20 points from six matches (6 wins and 2 draws) ahead of Italy, Ukraine, North Macedonia and Malta.

The Three Lions will be looking to prove themselves once again as they finished as runners-up at Euro 2020 following a penalty shootout defeat to Italy in the final following a 1-1 draw. A major positive for England is the development of their squad, with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka all gaining a lot of experience since their defeat in the final three years ago.

France will be a match for any side in the competition, having made it to both of the last two World Cup finals, beating Croatia in 2018 and finishing as runner-up to Argentina in Qatar 2022.

Didier Deschamps’ side comfortably topped Group D consisting of the Netherlands, Greece, the Republic of Ireland and Gibraltar and will face the Dutch once again in Germany this summer, as well as the likes of Austria and Poland.

As per usual, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann will be ones to watch as they compete with the likes of Harry Kane for the Golden Boot, while the French have the likes of Mike Maignan, William Saliba, Aurelien Tchouameni filling voids left by Hugo Lloris, Raphael Varane and N’golo Kante.

Belgium will be keen to show off their latest generation of talent under Domenico Tedesco at Euro 2024 when the Red Devils take part in Group E with the likes of the Ukraine, Romania and Slovakia.

Under Tedesco, Belgium have a solid record, winning eight and drawing four of their 12 matches, while blooding in a set of new faces, such as Zeno Debast, Amadou Onana, Arthur Vermeeren, Aster Vranckx, Jeremy Doku, Johan Bakayoko and more alongside the likes of Kervin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Leandro Trossard and Jan Vertonghen.

In qualifying, Belgium finished up as winners of Group F ahead of Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan and Estonia with 20 points, scoring 22 times and conceding just four goals.

Portugal will be aiming to win the European Championships for the second time in their history having previously achieved this feat in 2016.

A Seleção das Quinas have arguably been the most impressive team in Europe since Roberto Martinez took over, as the Spaniard has unleashed Portugal’s attacking potential, overseeing 10 wins from 10 in qualifying while watching his side score 36 goals and concede just twice. They will be expected to take maximum points from Group F that also features Turkey, the Czech Republic and Georgia.

This will inevitably be Cristiano Ronaldo’s last European Championship, however, there are plenty of players to take the burden off the 39-year-old to score goals, as Portugal have several attacking threats in Rafael Leao, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, while also being strong defensively with Ruben Dias, Antonio Silva and Joao Cancelo among their ranks.
