Manchester United take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League this weekend with the mood around the club the lowest it's been in quite some time.
Atletico Madrid are currently 2nd in La Liga with six wins, one draw and one defeat from eight games. The Spanish side are enjoying a good campaign and while they're still five points behind Barcelona, they'll be happy with where they currently sit.
Their form is very good, with the team producing four wins from their last four games. Last time out, they recorded a 2-1 win over Alaves.
Their first game in the Champions League saw them travel to Anfield, which ended in a 2-1 defeat.
Their games have tended to be highly entertaining, with all of their last eight matches in all competitions seeing over 2.5 goals scored, which feels likely to continue here.
Man United, on the other hand, enter this game in a sorry state. Just when you thought Man United couldn't sink any lower, they continue to descend to new depths.
The Red Devils have just two wins from eight games in all competitions and are coming off the back of yet another game where they dropped points to a side with ten men.
Michael Carrick's side were booed off at Old Trafford at the weekend after drawing 1-1 with a Spurs side they were beating with a man extra up until the last minute, when they conceded a poor equaliser.
They're now four games without a win and have produced a string of very, very poor showings. Given they're up against a seasoned European side here, it's tough to imagine them avoiding defeat.
Atletico Madrid 3-1 Man United
