Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich Prediction

Inter Milan versus Bayern Munich should be another close encounter in the Champions League, with the Nerazzurri entering this game as favourites following their 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena last week.

Simone Inzaghi’s side have a strong record at the San Siro in this season’s Champions League, as they have won all of their five home matches, beating the likes of Red Star Belgrade (4-0), Arsenal (1-0), RB Leipzig (1-0), AS Monaco (3-0) and Feyenoord (2-1).

On the other hand, Bayern Munich’s away form in this competition has been questionable to say the least, as they have managed two wins from five matches away from the Allianz Arena, having beaten Celtic (2-1) and Shakhtar Donetsk (5-1) while suffering defeats to Aston Villa (1-0), Barcelona (4-1) and Feyenoord (3-0).

The Both Teams to Score market has landed in each of Inter Milan’s last five matches, as well as in all of Bayern Munich’s last five games, hence why we are predicting a 2-1 home win.

Prediction: Inter Milan 2-1 Bayern Munich

Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich Prediction & Preview

Inter Milan hosts Bayern Munich in what looks like an intriguing Champions League quarter-final second leg at the San Siro.

Date: 16/04/2025

Location: San Siro

Time: 8pm

As previously mentioned, Inter Milan earned a crucial 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena in the first leg as Davide Frattesi scored a 88th-minute winner after Thomas Müller had equalised for Bayern Munich just three minutes prior. Lautaro Martinez had given Inter Milan a 1-0 first half lead following his superb strike in the 38th-minute.

Simone Inzaghi’s men are having an impressive season, as they are looking to try and win a treble, as they sit top of Serie A with 71 points from 32 matches, seeing them sit six points clear of second-place Napoli, while in the Coppa Italia, they head into the second-leg of their semi-final against AC Milan with a 1-1 aggregate scoreline.

Inter are having a solid Champions League campaign too, as prior to their first leg win over Bayern Munich, they knocked out Feyenoord 4-1 on aggregate after finishing fourth in the Group Stage with 19 points from eight matches.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich look set to regain their status of champions of Germany from Bayer Leverkusen, as they sit six points clear of Xabi Alonso’s side on 69 points from 29 matches with a significantly better goal difference.

Vincent Kompany’s team have it all to do in this second leg, especially when considering that they have had a decidedly average Champions League run this season prior to their 5-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16, having scraped past Celtic (3-2) following a disappointing 12th-place finish in the Group Stage itself.

Where to Watch
