Two giants of European football go head-to-head in the group stage of the Champions League on Wednesday night as Manchester City play host to Paris Saint-Germain.
These two sides know each other very well, having clashed on eight previous occasions. Manchester City have claimed four wins to PSG's two, including three victories at the Etihad Stadium.
After losing the FA Community Shield against Arsenal, Manchester City have gone on an eight-game winning streak in competitive competitions. The Citizens won their opening game in the Champions League away at Porto 2-0, and on Sunday evening they smashed Liverpool 3-0 in their own backyard.
PSG endured a shaky start to the new campaign, losing the Trophee des Champions to Lens, drawing their opening two league games and then losing the third to Monaco. However, their next result was a 6-1 win in the Champions League against Slovan Bratislava, and three more wins in the league have followed.
History favours the home side as does overall performance this season, but we are still expecting this game to be close and competitive throughout.
We've backed a 2-1 Manchester City win with Rayan Cherki to score or assist. The French international knows this PSG team well, having played in Ligue 1 for 6 years with Lyon.
Cherki is only one goal contribution behind Erling Haaland this season. The midfielder has chipped in with five goals and two assists across all competitions, and has either scored or claimed an assist in each of his last four outings for club and country.
Manchester City 2-1 PSG
