Despite being beaten 2-1 at St James' Park in the Premier League in November, Manchester City scored twice without reply in January's 1st leg of the League Cup semi-final in the very same venue. The Citizens have picked up four wins from their last seven matches across all competitions, and three of those victories have ended in 2-0 scorelines. Pep Guardiola's side have only lost twice at home in league and cup so far this season, claiming wins-to-nil on nine separate occasions.
Newcastle simply haven't travelled well this season and head to the Etihad Stadium having lost seven of their 16 away games in all competitions. The Magpies were thrashed 4-1 at Anfield over the weekend and have only won one of their last five away trips. To further add to the travelling fans' woes, the Georgies haven't seen their team win at Manchester City since 2014.
