Inter Miami's performance against lower-ranked Al Ahly from Egypt was less than convincing. Although FC Porto failed to beat Palmeiras, the Portuguese side should overcome Inter Miami in the second round of the FIFA Club World Cup Group A games.
Javier Mascherano's side are unbeaten in four matches, but have only won twice in their previous six games, as their form has been somewhat inconsistent. Inter Miami were rather fortunate overall to pick up a point in their opening game against Al Ahly, considering Trézéguet missed a penalty in the 43rd minute for the Egyptian side. Veteran Uruguayan goalkeeper, Oscar Ustari, was the hero for the American side, making multiple saves, as Inter Miami's display doesn't bode well for their game against FC Porto.
FC Porto's performance against Palmeiras wasn't exactly of high quality, as the Brazilian side had a larger share of possession with 55% to 45%. However, Porto does possess enough quality in the forward line to breach a defence that struggled against Al Ahly. Samuel Aghehowa will be key to victory for FC Porto, as the Spanish international was in great form for FC Porto last season, having scored 19 league goals in 23 starts.
The Portuguese side will be buoyed by the creative influences of Fabio Viera (formerly of Arsenal) and Rodrigo Mora, who are expected to find space against the Inter Miami defence. FC Porto ended their campaign with five wins in six matches.
There could be goals in this game for both sides, as the BTTS market has landed in eight of the last 10 games involving Inter Miami.
That being said, for this game, we are leaning towards a win for FC Porto but narrowly.
Inter Miami 1-2 FC Porto.
