Despite Bournemouth going unbeaten in their last four outings in the Premier League, picking up three wins and a draw, we're backing Aston Villa to come out on top at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday. The Cherries have conceded at least two goals in seven of their last 10 matches across all competitions, and have only outscored their opponents in two of those games.
Aston Villa thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 in the pair's November reverse league fixture, and are unbeaten in their last six games against the Cherries, winning four times and drawing twice.
The visitors have lost only seven games across all competitions this season, and while Villa did lose last time out to Brentford, they haven't lost back-to-back games since their slow start to the campaign in August. Aston Villa have won six of their last 10 matches in league and cup, scoring at least two goals in five of those games and conceding one or fewer in eight.
With all that in mind, we're expecting a close and competitive 90 minutes on the south coast, but have backed Aston Villa to claim all three points via a scoreline of two goals to one.
Bournemouth 1-2 Aston Villa
