Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion face off on Saturday, with the Cherries looking like the slight favourites heading into this game.
The Cherries have demonstrated great defensive resilience in their last two Premier League matches, despite a summer that saw a mass exodus from the defensive areas. Bournemouth have kept two clean sheets in their previous two league matches, and against Tottenham Hotspur in particular, Andoni Iroala's side was excellent. Known for being an excellent attacking outfit with the ball, Bournemouth recorded 20 shots against a Tottenham Hotspur side that had begun the season with six points from their opening two matches.
Statistically, last season, Bournemouth had a fair home record with eight wins from 19 matches, and their home form coming into this game from last season could provide them with a slight advantage against the Seagulls. The Cherries have only lost once in their previous five matches at home in the Premier League.
As for Brighton & Hove Albion, their away form in the Premier League could prove to be their undoing, as the Seagulls have lost three of their last five matches away from home, dating back to last season. This game should provide goals, as over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of the last five meetings between the two sides.
Brighton & Hove Albion will certainly pose a challenge for Bournemouth, given the fact that the Seagulls have scored first in six of their last eight matches. However, with Bournemouth's home advantage and with their performances gradually improving, we are leaning towards a narrow 2-1 victory for the home side.
Bournemouth 2-1 Brighton.
