Bournemouth vs Leicester Prediction

Bournemouth have a far stronger and more quality squad than the Foxes this season, and despite their recent form, we predict Bournemouth to end the season on a high note and comfortably beat Leicester City as they prepare for next season back in the Championship.

The Cherries have a good record against Leicester City in recent years, with the Cherries having won three of the previous five league meetings between the two sides. Bournemouth’s quality in attack could prove to be the difference here, having scored 1.5 goals per game, with performances from Evanilson and Antoine Semenyo likely to be the key for victory.

Leicester City have shown signs of life in recent weeks, with the Foxes unbeaten in their previous three matches. However, when analysing their results, they have recorded two victories against the two other relegated sides in the division. The last time the Foxes recorded a win against a side outside the bottom three was in January against Tottenham Hotspur.

Bournemouth should record a final-day victory here, with a 2-1 win against the Foxes.

Bournemouth 2-1 Leicester City.

Bournemouth vs Leicester Preview & Prediction

Andoni Iraola’s side will hope to finish the season strongly, as they host a Leicester City side who will be preparing for life back in the Championship.

Date: 25/05/2025
Location: The Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth.
Kick-Off: 4 pm

AFC Bournemouth have seen their European chances dwindle in recent weeks, following the aftermath of Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup, and the Cherries’ league performance has consequently suffered as a result. This season, though, has been a sign of progression under Andoni Iraola, with his Bournemouth side playing excellent football and picking up notable victories against Manchester United, Newcastle United and Arsenal this season.

Performances from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson have been key for the Cherries this season, along with defensive performances from Dean Huijsen, who is set to join Real Madrid this summer. Bournemouth are in 11th place in the Premier League, having accumulated 53 points this season, scoring 56 goals and conceding 46.

Leicester City are likely to finish as the best-performing promoted side in the Premier League, which will provide little consolation for the Foxes, who have performed extremely abysmally this season. Ruud van Nistelrooy is set to depart at the end of the season, with former Southampton manager Russell Martin set to replace the departing Dutchman. Leicester City are in 18th place, one place behind the Europa League winners, Tottenham Hotspur.

The Foxes have accumulated only 25 points this season, having scored 33 and conceded an extortionate amount of 78 goals this campaign. The visitors were the victors in the reverse meeting at the King Power Stadium, thanks to a goal in the 16th minute from Facundo Buonanotte.

Form Guide

Bournemouth:

Bournemouth are coming into this game with two consecutive defeats against Manchester City (3-1) and Aston Villa (0-1). Interestingly, the last five matches for Bournemouth have resulted in a player being dismissed for either side. Prior to their two defeats, Bournemouth had gone five matches without a defeat, with two victories against Arsenal (1-2) and Fulham (1-0).

At the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth have only won once in their previous five matches (Fulham), with defeats against Ipswich Town (1-2) and Brentford (1-2). The Cherries have gone without a clean sheet in four games in the Premier League.

Leicester City:

Leicester City have shown signs of life in recent weeks, with the Foxes unbeaten in their previous three matches. However, when analysing their results, they have recorded two victories against the two other relegated sides in the division. The Foxes have kept two clean sheets in their last three matches, with the 2-0 victories against Ipswich Town and Southampton.

Leicester City are winless away from home since January in the Premier League, and the visitors are coming into this game having lost four of their last six matches on their travels.
