Bournemouth are yet to pick up a win under their new manager, Marco Rose, despite some decent performances in their opening three league games. The Cherries narrowly lost at Manchester City following a late collapse, then drew with Everton, again conceding late on, and after taking a two-goal lead at St James' Park, Bournemouth ended up drawing 2-2 due to another late goal for the opposition.
Brentford have made a more positive start to their campaign, begining with that 3-0 opening weekend win against Tottenham. The Bees followed up that victory with a win in the League Cup against Championship side Birmingham, and followed that with back-to-back 1-1 draws in the league with Leeds and Sunderland.
We're backing Brentford to maintain their unbeaten start to the season this weekend against a Bournemouth side they have never lost to in the Premier League. The Bees have drawn three and won six of their nine head-to-heads with the Cherries in league and cup since the pair first clashed in the Premier League back in 2022.
Five of the pair's last seven encounters have ended with both teams scoring, while each of Bournemouth's three league games so far this season, and Brentford's last three matches across all competitions, have also ended with both teams finding the back of the net.
With both teams playing out draws in their last two outings in the Premier League and the last encounter between the pair ending in a stalemate, we've decided to back a final scoreline of 1-1, but don;t be too surprised if Brentford pinch all three points.
Bournemouth 1-1 Brentford
