Brighton & Hove Albion vs Leeds United Prediction

Brighton and Leeds United are set to lock horns in the Premier League this weekend as the two sides meet on the South Coast.

Brighton's start to the season has been mixed. The Seagulls got off to a flyer on the opening weekend by beating Aston Villa 4-0, but they were brought back down to Earth last weekend as they were beaten 4-3 by Chelsea.

The scoreline makes the game sound closer than it was, with Chelsea comfortably the better team. The Blues were 3-1 up at half-time and a last second consolation for the Seagulls brought the deficit to just one goal.

Games involving these two teams were competitive last season, with Leeds and Brighton both winning one game each. Two of the last five clashes have also ended in draws, so these teams often play out competitive affairs.

Leeds have taken four points from their first two games of the league campaign. Daniel Farke will be happy with his side's points haul this far, particularly given they're yet to play particularly well.

Leeds beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 away from home with a late Anton Stach free-kick on the opening day, which preceded a 1-1 draw against Brentford at the weekend.

Leeds were comfortably second best in the first half against the Bees but fought their way back into the game, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin finding the back of the net late on.

Calvert-Lewin was Leeds' top scorer last season and seems to be continuing where he left off, and having scored against the Seagulls in a 1-0 win last season he'll be determined to add his account here.

We feel there's little to separate these sides heading into the game, so we're backing a low scoring draw.

Brighton 1-1 Leeds
