The Seagulls' season has faltered slightly in recent weeks due to their form, although the win against West Ham United (3-2) has put Brighton & Hove Albion in a good position for a potential European spot. If Brighton & Hove Albion finish in eighth place, they would need bitter rivals Crystal Palace to lose the FA Cup final and for Chelsea to win the UEFA Europa Conference League to free up a potential eighth spot for the final European place.

Newcastle United have had an excellent season, with the club having secured their first domestic trophy since 1955 when they lifted the Carabao Cup. Now coming towards the end of the season, Eddie Howe’s side are now favourites to finish inside the top five and secure their second UEFA Champions League qualification in the space of three seasons. The Magpies are in third place in the Premier League, and could have the opportunity to sneak ahead of Arsenal in the race for second place in the league. The visitors for this game are two points clear of Nottingham Forest in sixth place and only five points behind Arsenal, with the Gunners having priorities in the UEFA Champions League, which could distract their league form.

Igor Julio, James Milner, Ferdi Kadioglu, Adam Webster, and Georginio Rutter will all be unavailable. João Pedro is suspended until matchweek 37, following his red card against Brentford.

Joelinton, Lewis Hall, and Jamal Lascelles will all be unavailable for Eddie Howe. Expect Jacob Murphy to retain his place, following his excellent performances.
