Everton are hoping to build on some positive recent results as they take on Bournemouth in the Premier League this week.
- Date: 10/02/2026
- Kick-off: 7:30pm
- Location: Hill Dickinson Stadium, Liverpool
Everton start the week eighth in the table on 37 points and come into this from a 2-1 away win at Fulham, a result that followed a mixed six‑game run of two wins, three draws and one defeat. At home, however, their form has dipped: they have not won at Hill Dickinson for over two months, and a season‑long xG profile of 1.44 for and 1.33 against per home game fits with a team whose matches are often competitive but not particularly high‑scoring.
Their overall Premier League stats for this season emphasise that cautioun, with Everton's average 1.26 xG for and 1.51 xG against per match, and though their matches do see a fair volume of shots (over 23.5 total shots in 64% of games), the conversion into clear‑cut chances and goals has been modest. They sit towards the lower end of the league for over‑2.5 outcomes, with many fixtures ending in one or two‑goal margins.
Bournemouth’s season has been more volatile but recently very positive. They travel as one of the Premier League’s form teams despite losing star forward Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City in January, and their last six fixtures show three wins, two draws and just one defeat. Earlier in the winter they endured a four‑game winless run and a 3-2 collapse at Sunderland, but the wider picture is of a side that has stabilised under Andoni Iraola and now carries enough attacking threat to trouble most opponents.
The Cherries’ goal trends remain towards the high‑event end of the league. Their attack has scored in all but six games in all competitions, but their defence that has leaked in similar proportions, meaning BTTS has been a frequent outcome, especially away from home where clean sheets are rare.
Both teams comes into this game amidst relatively comparable runs of form, so it's hard to separate them results-wise. It should be a competitive game, and one in which both sides feel likely to score, but we fancy the spoils to be shared here.
