Leeds United face a tough test away from home in the Premier League this weekend as they face Fulham, looking to continue their Premier League acclimation process.
- Date: 13/09/2025
- Kick-off: 3:00pm
- Location: Craven Cottage, West London
Fulham come into this game with two points from three games having drawn 1-1 at Brighton on the opening weekend, drawn 1-1 with Manchester United and lost 2-0 to Chelsea.
The Cottagers will feel particularly aggrieved to have been on the wrong side of several VAR calls in the opening weeks of the campaign, calls that on reflection looked completely egregious - particularly Josh King's disallowed opener at Stamford Bridge.
Manager Marco Silva has expressed his anger at the performance of the officials in Fulham's games so far this season, a feeling that's becoming all too common in Premier League football. The team will hope to channel that anger in a positive way here, as they look to record their first win of the season.
Fulham's have performed well in their opening three games and two points is not a reflection of the standard they have set. The Cottagers have won all of their last three head-to-head meetings with Leeds and will feel confident of picking up three points in front of their own fans this weekend.
Leeds enter this game with four points from three games. The Peacocks began with a 1-0 win over Everton, which was followed by a 5-0 defeat at Arsenal and a 0-0 draw with Newcastle. Arsenal aside, manager Daniel Farke will be happy with his team's showings and four points from three games is a strong return.
Farke will, though, be sweating on the fitness of some key players, with Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, Ilia Gruev and Noah Okafor all doubtful, while Ao Tanaka will definitely miss out through injury. Should all of those names be missing, it will weaken the team significantly.
Leeds showed excellent defensive qualities against Everton and Newcastle, and they'll look to keep the game tight here. Two of both teams' three games have seen under 2.5 goals scored so we expect that trend to continue here, but injuries to key players will make it extremely tough for Leeds to pick up a result.
