Two sides firmly out of form lock horns in the Premier League this weekend as Fulham take on Wolves.
- Date: 01/11/2025
- Kick-off: 3:00pm
- Location: Craven Cottage, West London
Fulham are currently 17th in the Premier League with eight points from nine games. It's been a fairly poor start to the campaign for the Cottagers who are falling short of pre-season expectations, especially given the investment in the squad late in the summer.
They come into this game with one win and four losses from their last five games, with their most recent league game a 2-1 loss at Newcastle United as a last-minute dagger snatched a point from their grasp. Fulham did beat Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Cup this week, though, so they're not coming into this game on a particularly negative note.
Fulham can also take confidence from their home form, which has seen them win four and lose one this season, with their only defeat a narrow 0-1 loss against league leaders Arsenal.
Wolves, meanwhile, are having a torrid campaign as they sit rock bottom of the Premier League with only two points. Wolves are on a horrible run, and especially concerning for them will be that their last two league games have been defeats to newly promoted sides in a 2-0 loss to Sunderland and a 2-3 loss to Burnley.
Morale is extremely low within the fan base and many are calling for a major change in the managerial dugout. Their defence has been awful, with 19 goals conceded in 9 games, and they shipped another four goals to a youthful Chelsea side in the EFL Cup in midweek, further highlighting their frailties at the back.
That could signal an entertaining game in store, and the fact that all of the last four head-to-head meetings between these two teams have seen over 2.5 goals scored is promising. However, the fact that they haven't won away from home all season makes it hard to imagine they'll come away with a positive result this weekend.
Fulham 2-1 Wolves
