Hull City and Aston Villa fill the Saturday evening kick-off slot this weekend in the Premier League, as the Tigers look to build on their excellent start to the campaign.
The home side, who many have tipped to be the favourites to go straight down from the Premier League, began their campaign with a shock 2-0 win against Manchester United, thanks to goals from set-pieces. Hull City's utilisation of the five-back system stunned a despondent Manchester United side, which led to the victory. However, the most important win came a week later, when Hull City travelled to Coventry City. The Tigers picked up a priceless 1-0 victory away against another newly promoted side, now making it six points from six for the home side. Konstatinos Tzolakis has proved to be an excellent acquisition thus far for the Tigers, preventing 1.92 goals for his side this season.
As for Aston Villa, it has been another summer of departures with the likes of Youri Tielemans, Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers departing for Manchester United, Al-Hilal and Chelsea respectively. Aston Villa have moved to sign the likes of highly rated prospect Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain and Joao Gomes from Wolves, with the latter suspended for this fixture. The Villains are still light defensively with the departure of Ezri Konsa to Arsenal, and that has been reflected in their first two league games, conceding five goals without reply.
The Villains began last season's campaign in a similar fashion, as they went without a league win until the end of September amidst transfer issues once again. Aston Villa are still in another teething phase under Unai Emery, so with the changes in the squad, alongside Hull City's steady start to the campaign, all signs are pointing towards a win for the Tigers.
