A big game between two sides that are expected to contest this season's relegation battle takes place in the Premier League on Sunday as Wolves host Burnley.
- Date: 26/10/2025
- Kick-off: 2:00pm
- Location: Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton
Wolves come into this game rooted to the foot of the table with just two points from eight games. The Midlands club have had an awful start to the season and alarm bells are ringing in the heads of most supporters.
Their form is poor, with only one win in their last five games - a 2-0 win over Everton in the EFL Cup. BTTS has occurred in three of their last five games, while over 2.5 goals have been scored in only one of their last five outings.
Their home form isn't too bad, mind, with two wins, one draw and two defeats from their last five, but both of those wins occurred in the EFL Cup, for what that's worth.
Wolves need to show a lot more in their performances to give their fans the belief that relegation is not a major concern, because despite the fact that there is clear quality in the team, they're a team that's much smaller than the sum of its parts at present.
Burnley, meanwhile, are 17th in the Premier League with seven points from eight games. The Clarets have enjoyed a decent, while tough, start to the season. They're likely to be deep in the relegation battle this season, but they've shown enough to suggest they'll be very competitive - and might even survive.
They come into this game off the back of a 2-0 win over Leeds, which followed on from one draw (1-1 vs. Nottingham Forest) and three defeats at the hands of Aston Villa (2-1), Man City (5-1), and Liverpool (0-1).
Despite their defeats, most of their performances have been encouraging and they'll be confident of avoiding defeat here. With Wolves having drawn two of their last three games and Burnley likely to deploy a frustrating game plan, we think the spoils will be shared in a low-scoring draw.
Wolves 1-1 Burnley
