Wolves vs Leicester Prediction

Recently relegated Leicester City are fighting to restore pride at this point. However, we think that those efforts will be in vain when they travel to face a Wolverhampton Wanderers side in excellent form in the Premier League.

The home side are unbeaten in their previous six matches, having won their previous five games in the Premier League. Wolves have shown excellent attacking potency by scoring first in four of their last five league games, although both teams have scored in six of their previous eight matches.

Despite Wolves conceding in six of their previous eight games, we don’t believe Leicester City can pose much of a threat with their attacking options. The Foxes have only scored twice in nine Premier League matches, with both goals coming in the same game against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Defensively, Leicester City have been a mess this season, with no wins in their previous 11 matches, and the Foxes have not kept a clean sheet in 29 matches. With that being said, mentally, Leicester’s players are already focusing on the Championship next season, and we think Wolves will record a straightforward 2-0 win at Molineux.

Wolves 2-0 Leicester City

Wolves vs Leicester Preview & Prediction

Wolves are looking to continue their fine form, as they take on a Leicester City side who were confirmed for an immediate return to the Championship last weekend.

Date: 26/04/2025
Location: Molineux, Wolverhampton.
Kick-Off: 3 pm

Wolverhampton Wanderers are set for another season in the top flight of English football with their performances this season and their subsequent form under head coach Vitor Pereira. The home side replaced Gary O’Neil this season, and it has looked to be a shrewd piece of managerial business, with the former Porto and Fenerbahce manager steering the Midlands club away from the relegation zone and into potential mid-table obscurity. Pereira has had an impressive start in his first 20 games as Wolves manager, winning 11 and averaging 1.75 points per game.

Following their impressive 1-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Wolves created a bit of notable history within their club, having recorded five consecutive top-flight victories since 1970. Wolves are now 15th in the Premier League, having amassed 38 points from 33 games played. The home side have scored 48 goals this season, in which Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen have contributed 26 to the overall tally.

Leicester City’s relegation back to the Championship was confirmed against league leaders Liverpool (0-1) at the weekend, as the Foxes now have nothing to play for with five games to go. Relegation had been on the horizon for Leicester City for a number of months now, and the confirmation last weekend was hardly a surprise given their run of results since the appointment of Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Dutchman has only led Leicester City to two league wins since his appointment in December. He holds a worse win percentage in the Premier League than his predecessor Steve Cooper. The Foxes are 19th in the Premier League, with only four wins all season, scoring 27 and conceding 73.

Where to watch

The game will not be available to watch on TV because of the 3 pm Blackout.

Form Guide

Wolves:

The home side are in magnificent form heading into this game, with 16 points gained from their previous six league matches. Wolves have won their previous five league matches, securing victories against Manchester United (0-1), Tottenham Hotspur (4-2), Ipswich Town (1-2), West Ham United (1-0) & Southampton (2-1).

On home soil, Vitor Pereira’s side have also been in great form, with only one loss at Molineux in their previous five games, which was a 2-1 defeat against Fulham. Wolves have picked up seven points from their last three home matches, with two wins against West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur, alongside a draw against Everton (1-1).

Leicester City:

Leicester City have been in woeful form this calendar year, with only two wins in all competitions against Tottenham Hotspur (1-2) and QPR (6-2) in 2025. The Foxes are winless in 11 games, and their draw against Brighton & Hove Albion (2-2) is their only point gained in nine Premier League games.

Leicester City have not kept a clean sheet in 29 matches in all competitions and have suffered four away defeats in their previous five games on the road, with losses against Manchester City (2-0), Chelsea (1-0), West Ham United (2-0) & Everton (4-0).
