Celtic vs Kilmarnock Prediction

League leaders Celtic will know it’s a matter of time before they cinch another Scottish Premiership title, and this game against Kilmarnaock will be expected to be a formality, given the current state of both these teams.

Brendan Rodgers’s side are in great form heading into this game, with three wins in their previous five matches and at Celtic Park, the home side has only lost one game all season. The Hoops also have an excellent record in this fixture, winning the last four meetings between the two sides and having no losses in their previous six games against Kilmarock.

As for the visitors, they won’t be expected to be much trouble for the high-flying Hoops, as the away side have lost five of their previous six matches and have conceded four goals on no more than two occasions in those five games.

We are going for a 4-0 victory for Celtic. The recent meetings between the two sides have produced over 2.5 goals in five of the last seven meetings and Celtic have averaged 2.9 goals themselves per game this season.

Celtic 4-0 Kilmarnock

Celtic vs Kilmarnock Preview & Prediction

Celtic can make another huge step towards another Scottish Premiership title when they host Kilmarnock on Saturday. The home side could potentially end the weekend as Champions, should results go in their favour.

Date: 12/04/2025
Location: Celtic Park, Glasgow.
Kick-Off: 12:30 pm

Brendan Rodgers has already achieved unprecedented success at Celtic during his two spells at the club. However, this season could mark a historic landmark in the illustrious history of Celtic as this season, they are set to equal their dearest rivals, Rangers, in league titles, with the latter ahead on 55 titles to Celtic’s 54. The home side are 13 points clear with six games to go (the season is set to split after matchday 33), having scored 92 goals and only conceding 21 on record. Brendan Rodgers could also seal yet another domestic treble for the club, with Celtic having already secured the Scottish League Cup and the side into the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, where they will face St.Johnstone.

The Scottish Premiership title can be decided this weekend. Celtic would have to beat Kilmarnock in the early lunchtime kickoff and would have to hope that Rangers were to lose to Aberdeen on the Sunday. Rangers have a midweek European game against Athletic Bilbao, which could affect their game against Aberdeen in terms of fitness and fatigue.

Daizen Maeda has been excellent for the home side this season and has filled the void left by departing striker Kyogo Furuhashi when the latter joined Stade Rennais in January. Maeda has scored 15 league goals in 25 league starts for Celtic this season, with the striker also averaging 0.9 shots on target per game.

As for Kilmarnock, there is still an expected threat of them being in a relegation/playoff predicament at the end of the season. The visitors are in ninth place in the league standings before the league splits. However, Kilmarnock are only one point ahead of Dundee, who are 11th, meaning a defeat could land Kilmarnock in the drop zone after the weekend. “Killie” have scored 37 goals this season and have conceded 53, whilst picking up 35 points from 32 matches played.
