England got off to a winning start in Group L against Croatia, playing an open, attacking brand of football we haven't seen from the national team in a long, long time. Ghana also secured three points in their opening game against Panama, but they easily could have lost that match and only managed to snatch their victory deep into stoppage time.
Thomas Tuchel's side breezed through the qualifiers, winning all eight matches without conceding a single goal. The Three Lions have seen five of their last 13 matches across all competitions produce over 2.5 goals, and have only conceded four goals during that period.
Ghana have lost three of their last five matches, including a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Austria back in March. Seven of Ghana's last 13 international matches have featured three or more goals, and, given how they struggled against Panama's attack on matchday one, we're backing at least three goals to be scored in Tuesday's clash.
Harry Kane scored two of England's four goals against Croatia, and he would be the obvious choice to back as your Anytime Goalscorer against Ghana, but the odds aren't great. Instead, we are backing another of England's goalscoring heroes from matchday one to score against Ghana.
Jude Bellingham scored his seventh international goal in his 49th cap, once again stepping up for his country at a vital time. Bellingham scored eight times in 40 appearances for his club side, Real Madrid, last season and against Croatia, he ended his English goal drought, which had seen the midfielder fail to score in 2025/26.
England have never lost a game at the World Cup against African opposition, a run that stretches all the way back to 1986 and a goalless draw with Morocco. Since then, England have beaten Egypt 1-0 and Cameroon 3-2 at the 1990 World Cup, drawn against Nigeria and beaten Tunisia in 2002, and most recently, secured a 3-0 victory over Senegal in Qatar 2022.
Ghana have made it to four of the last five World Cups, but have failed to make it out of the group stage in their last two, managing just one win from their six combined group games, and losing on four occasions. Thomas Partey is expected to be available again, and the England defence will be well aware of Antoine Semenyo's ability, though his record for Ghana is great, with just three goals scored in 35 caps.
England 3-0 Ghana
