Wales vs Liechtenstein Prediction

Craig Bellamy's side should have no trouble dealing with a Liechtenstein side who are currently ranked 205th in the FIFA World rankings and are expected to finish bottom of the group standings once again.

Wales have been in excellent form under the former Cardiff and Manchester City forward, as the Dragons are unbeaten in their previous eight matches. Not only this, Wales have shown tremendous potency in attack by scoring first in five of their previous seven matches.

The overall quality and options at their disposal will be too much for Liechtenstein, especially considering the visitors are one of the poorer sides in international football. Liechtenstein have lost their previous four matches, whilst conceding four goals in the last two meetings between the two sides. One of Liechtenstein's defeats came at the expense of losing to San Marino in a 3-1 scoreline at home.

Simply put, Wales should see this as a routine victory ahead of a key game in Brussels in midweek against Belgium.

Wales 3-0 Liechtenstein

Wales vs Liechtenstein Preview & Prediction

Craig Bellamy's side are heavy favourites for this fixture, as they will look to gain a crucial three points against Liechtenstein before their all-important game against Belgium.

Date: 06/06/2025

Location: Principality Stadium, Wales.

Kick-Off: 19:45 pm

Wales have shown excellent progression under Craig Bellamy since he arrived as the National team manager last year. Bellamy replaced Rob Page, following his disappointing qualifying campaigns, and since Bellamy took charge, the Dragons have never looked back. Wales have already achieved qualification from the Nations League League B phase, with 12 points from six matches and will be replacing one of the relegated sides from the Nations League League Phase A.

Now the Dragons have their eyes set on qualification for the World Cup, following their last appearance in the competition in 2022. After two games, Wales are in a great position, as they are second in the group standings, with only North Macedonia ahead on goal difference. Wales are unbeaten in those two opening games, with a win against Kazakhstan and a draw against North Macedonia.

Liechtenstein are not expected to be a difficult task for Wales. The visitors are consistently one of the poorer sides that have performed in the European qualifiers, and that has shown thus far. Liechtenstein are bottom of the group standings, having conceded five goals in two games and failing to score.

Wales Team News

Wales will be bolstered by the additions of Premier League players such as Brennan Johnson, Ben Davies and Neco Williams. Although Craig Bellamy could field a couple of rotations in his squad, with his side set to face Belgium in midweek.

Liechtenstein Team News

Form Guide

Wales:

Wales are unbeaten since Craig Bellamy's arrival to the National side, as the Dragons are unbeaten in their previous eight matches, with five victories along the way. Wales have picked up notable victories against Kazakhstan (3-1), Iceland (4-1), and Montenegro (1-0 & 1-2) during Bellamy's reign with the Dragons.

Wales have been impressive at home as well, with Craig Bellamy's side winning three of their previous four matches on home soil. Wales' last game was against Kazakhstan with goals from Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davies and Daniel James.

Liechtenstein:

Liechtenstein are in terrible form, with the visitors having suffered four straight defeats against Kazakhstan (0-2), North Macedonia (0-3), San Marino (1-3) and Malta (2-0). Liechtenstein have one of the worst away records in international football, with a winless run stretching back to 2022.

Liechtenstein are one of the few teams to suffer the ignominy of suffering consecutive defeats against San Marino, who are the worst-ranked international team in the FIFA World rankings.
