There aren't many bigger stages in football than the World Cup. This competition brings together 32 of the planets best footballing nations, with them all battling it out for the honour of lifting the Jules Rimet Trophy. This years edition of the World Cup is in Russia and despite it being a slightly controversial decision to take the tournament there, it's been a massive success so far. Fans from all over the world have been welcomed warmly by the Russian public, the stadiums look fantastic and the games have been incredible.
There's been plenty of shocks, drama, entertainment and most importantly goals - with just one 0-0 this summer. Hopefully that continues with us now in the knockout stages and approaching the business end of the tournament where there's so much to play for. This years last sixteen has brought up a few interesting clashes and it looks like it could surpass what we saw four years ago in Brazil.
