The 2017/18 Champions League campaign was one of the best that we've seen in recent times. It contained plenty of upsets, drama and goals, ultimately leading to Real Madrid picking up a record 13th title. Zinedine Zidane's men surprised a few people by overcoming the likes of PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich on their way to beating Liverpool in the final in Kiev. In beating the Reds they became the first side in the competitions history to win it three years in a row and it capped off a magnificent campaign for them and the competition as a whole.
As always the Champions League last season pitted some of the worlds best players against each other, which resulted in some very scoring games. Liverpool were the main culprits of that, with them becoming the highest scoring side in the tournaments history. Their 7-6 semi-final aggregate victory over Roma - including a 5-2 win at Anfield - epitomises just what last years CL was all about and we're hoping for more of the same in what looks like another mouthwatering line-up!
