The 2018/19 Premier League season kicks off on Friday night with Manchester United taking on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Last year saw the top flight dominated by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, who reached unparalleled heights with their achievements. The Citizens broke a number of records on their way to winning the Premier League title, with the most eye-catching one being their feat of 100 points from 38 games - becoming the first side in English football history to do so.
City are the team to beat once again this season and they kick off the campaign with a tough trip to the Emirates to face Unai Emery's Arsenal, in what's certainly the game of the weekend. The Champions round off match day ones action in North London and there's some very exciting games to come over the next few days, so we're hoping for lots of goals. Last seasons opening day was hugely entertaining, with the net bulging on no fewer than 31 occasions - averaging just over 3 goals a game.
