England is one of the biggest nations in the world when it comes to football. We have some of the biggest clubs, the biggest league, the biggest stadiums but when it comes to the success of the national team it's pretty fair to say that we've been starved of success. The Three Lions one and only success at a major tournament came back in 1966 when we hosted the World Cup, defeating the old enemy West Germany 4-2 at Wembley Stadium. For many of us that feels like a million years ago and we've craving more moments like that.
But despite our inability to win another piece of silverware there has still been some enjoyable moments for us as England fans - one being our win over Argentina back in 2005. This match was dubbed as a non-competitive friendly but matches between England and Argentina are never that. Played at a neutral ground in Geneva, this was a game both sides were desperate to win and they produced an absolute cracker. It was a topsy turvy game which saw England twice battle back from behind to win 3-2 - with 2 of their goals coming in the final minutes courtesy of Michael Owen.
The scenes afterwards showed how much the win meant to the players and many fans still regard that as one of England's best performances in recent years. Well today marks significance towards that game with this being the 13 year anniversary of that day in Switzerland - so to celebrate we've created a quiz. We want to see if you can name both line-ups from that day and we've given you a 7 minute time limit to do so - it's a tough one this. Give it your best shot below and tweet your efforts into us @FootyAccums & we'll RT the best attempts - good luck!
