We're in December which means one thing - LOTS of Premier League football. Whilst leagues around the Europe and the rest of the world come to their annual winter break, football in England is seriously ramped up in what is a crucial stage of the season. Managers are really tested and squads are pushed right to the limit in a gruelling schedule which for us as fans and neutrals is just fantastic. Some sides are in action up to 3 times in just 7 days so there's plenty to take in, in what is one of our favourite times of the year.
Boxing Day is one of the most busiest and popular days on the English footballing calendar with sides in all divisions of the pyramid in action. The Premier League obviously takes centre stage and this year we're treated with 9 games that are staggered throughout the day from 12:30pm - one more than last year.
On Boxing Day in 2017, 16 Premier League sides were in action with their games resulting in a total of 30 goals. We saw Liverpool and Tottenham both score 5 on a memorable day for their supporters and we're hoping there's something similar this time around in the 9 games we have. After taking a look at the results on that day last season we've put together a quiz to get you ready for this years Boxing Day action.
