Playing for your country is one of the biggest honours available for any aspiring footballers and only a select few get to experience it. Every youngster dreams of playing on the biggest stage of all, even more so this year with the World Cup only days away. England's 23 man squad has already been selected for the tournament and there was a few surprises in there from Gareth Southgate, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Nick Pope fighting their way into the reckoning. The pair have enjoyed standout seasons for their respective club sides and could potentially pick up their first caps over in Eastern Europe.
It's an already inexperienced squad that's been picked by Southgate but in reality the state of English football isn't what it was. We haven't really had a settled squad since the days of the 'Golden Generation' which has led to a huge number of players making their debuts. Since 2011 we've seen 63 different players make their debut for the Three Lions, which is a pretty big number.
