The 2018 World Cup has thrown up a number of surprises with shocks in every round. We've seen the World Champions Germany go out in the group stages. The Germans looked nothing like the side that won the trophy back in 2014 and many other top sides have struggled. Spain went out in the round of sixteen to Russia and Argentina also were knockout at that stage after finishing second in their group, giving them a tough game against France.
The biggest shock so far if that England have looked one of the strongest teams. They finished second in the group behind Belgium after losing their final game. However, despite finishing second England look to have a good run to the final. With big teams getting knockout and the rest in the other side of the draw the stars seem to be alining for Gareth Southgate's men.
