It's been another summer of big spending in the Premier League, with Manchester United one of the clubs at the heart of it. The Red Devils have managed to lure 19 year-old Diogo Dalot and Shahktar Donetsk midfielder Fred to Old Trafford to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. The signing of Fred has been on the card for sometime now but he looks like an incredibly welcome addition to the United engine room. The 25 year-old is seen by many as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in world football so his arrival could add that extra spark they need to keep up with rivals Manchester City.
Fred's move to Manchester is one of the biggest of the summer transfer window so far in the Premier League, with the Red Devils shelling out an estimated £52m to secure his services. Once he makes his debut for United he will be come the 17th South American to play for Manchester United, following in the foot steps in some very big names who've very successful - and some who've not done so well.
