Club football has now finished and managers are starting to prepare for the new season. Players will be beginning their holidays and fans will turn their attention to the World Cup. When the 18/19 season begins their will be a few new and a couple olds faces in new leagues.
The Premier League will be losing some of their more consistent teams will all three clubs that gained promotion in the 16/17 avoiding relegation. The Premier League relegation battle looked like it was going to go all the way until the final day but it was decided earlier than that with three teams deservingly going down.
The Championship had a very dramatic final day will all the teams at the bottom beating the teams at the top and consequently costing some promotion. With score lines changing throughout the day it made for a very tense finish full on elation and misery for the teams fighting relegation.
League One was very clear cut with the top two running away with it and the teams being relegated all but certain on the final day.Finally League Two, the division was again all but sorted on the final day. Still some playoff places to be secured. At the other end of the table we almost saw one team complete the great escape but despite winning it wasn’t enough for them to survive.
