The Premier League in 2018 has drawn to its conclusion and it was a year that was full of drama. We saw Manchester City win their first league title under Pep Guardiola after absolutely dominating the top flight. The Citizens become the first club in English football history to accumulate 100 points in a 38 game season, along with securing the biggest title winning margin, most goals and most wins amongst several other records. Overall for the calendar year they racked up a massive 88 points from 37 games, a total that is matched by Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
The Reds are currently top of the Premier League and 2018 has been a magnificent one for them, making huge progress. They appeared in the Champions League Final where they were beaten by Real Madrid but it was a huge achievement just to get there and it was clearly just the start of something. 2019 looks like an exciting year at the top of the division and if the first match day of last year is anything to go by then we should be in for a cracker.
On the first match day of 2018 we saw 29 goals spread out across the 10 Premier League games - something similar this time around would go down a treat! We've put together a quiz on the action from that day - giving you 7 minutes to correctly name as many players as possible! It's a tough one this so anything over 25/31 is a very good score - give it your best shot below and tweet your scores into us @FootyAccums!
