The England national team have caught the hearts of the nation. Going into the World Cup the expectations were very low for England. Poor previous World Cups and the last of the golden generation retiring, fans were happy to be patient with this young crop of England players. The squad was one of the youngest coming into the competition and with a new manager, anything past the round of sixteen would be deemed a success. They won their opening two games against poor sides, Panama and Tunisia. However did it is such a fashion hope started to build back home.
Here we are now in a World Cup semi-final and the bookies favourites to make the final. This squad has come together nicely in the months leading up to the World Cup. Gareth Southgate has created a great harmony within the players. Their is no real big egos in the side with every player playing for each other. However, not every player in the squad was destined to play for England, working their way up the football league system.
