The Champions League is the biggest tournament in the world and it features the best players, with none better than Barcelona's Lionel Messi. The Argentina international has lifted the trophy on four occasions with the Catalonian's and he's broken all sorts of records in the process, which has led to many claiming that he's the best player to ever play the game - it's tough to disagree with that when you see his CV and the things he's achieved! He backed it up even further on Tuesday night when his Barcelona side welcome PSV to the Camp Nou for their Champions League opener.
Barca were priced up at 1/10 before kick-off which told you how fancied they were and they delivered an accomplished performance to dispatch of the Eredivisie outfit 4-0. Messi grabbed all the headlines after a superb hat-trick which included a couple of wonderful goals to raise the roof in Catalonia. That was his 8th hat-trick in the Champions League, taking him ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo as the player with the most in the competitions history and it's certainly a record to be proud of.
