There's been some mega money thrown around in the Premier League over the years and one of the biggest spenders are Liverpool. The Reds are one of the most successful clubs in English football and they have a rich history, which makes them an incredibly attractive proposition for players to join. But despite this they're still yet to win the Premier League title, which is surprising when you see the calibre of player that they've had play for them. They've had a few title challenges, finishing second on a couple of occasions but the aim now is go on and bring the trophy home for the first time under Jurgen Klopp.
Under the German the club have improved ten-fold, with their squad in the healthiest shape it has for many years. An appearance in last seasons Champions League Final shows just how capable they are and now the aim is produce that level of performance consistently over the course of a 38 game Premier League season. Klopp has been backed by the clubs board with some big money during his tenure, but the clubs owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have come under criticism since purchasing the Merseysiders back in 2010. High profile sales of some of the clubs top performers haven't gone down well but they're now re-investing the money in the squad, so it's no coincidence that they've climbed up the table.
It's now 8 years since FSG bought the Anfield outfit and it's seen them bring in a number of players for a variety of transfer fees.
