Manchester City have been one of the dominant forces in English football over the last 7 years. The clubs takeover by Sheikh Mansour back in 2008 has seen the club jump to extraordinary heights, resulting in 3 Premier League titles, The FA Cup and 3 League Cup victories. Now under Pep Guardiola it doesn't look their dominance or will to win is going to slow down anytime soon and they're in a great position to add even more silverware to the trophy cabinet over the coming months.
On Wednesday night they face third tier Burton Albion at the Etihad Stadium in the League Cup semi-finals as overwhelming favourites to go through and reach the Wembley final at the end of February. They won this competition last year under Pep which was their third crown in just 4 years, with their first one in the Sheikh Mansour era coming back in 2014 when they defeated Sunderland under the famous arch in North London.
City rolled out 3-1 winners after a commanding performance which also saw a couple of world class goals and their fans will be hoping that they can replicate that again this year if they can make it through the final.
